42nd Foundation Day
Celebration Little Flowers Public Sr. Sec. School
celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day on 10th May, 2016
with great enthusiasm. Today the school is marked among the best schools for
its academic, sports and cultural achievements. The school owes its grand
success to the Founder Director Late Sh. D.R. Patel who established a tradition
of providing sumptuous lunch to all the students of the school on the
Foundation Day every year. It develops the feeling of the harmony and
togetherness among the students. School
Manager Smt. C.M. Patel, President Dr. Deepak Batra, Chairman, L.F.I.S. Mr.
R.K. Dua and other esteemed members of the school management graced the
occasion with their benign presence. Students performed various cultural
programmes with great vivacity and spell bound the audience. The School
premises echoed with melodious songs. The highlight of the event was ‘Natraj
Stuti’ presented by the students of the class VII & VIII. The Fairy Dance
performed by the kids of class III & IV stole the show. Manager
Mrs. C.M. Patel in her dynamic speech asserted that the school is working
tirelessly to inculcate moral and ethical values in the students to generate
true human beings. School Principal Mrs. Neeta Dua reiterated her commitment
of transcending the spirit of school logo – “Child is God”. Like every year
the Foundation Day instilled a new zeal and zest among the students and staff
members. |
GANIT WEEK CELEBRATION Little Flowers Public Sr. Sec.
School, Shivaji Park, Shahdara, Delhi, celebrated GANIT WEEK from 16th
to 22nd Dec 2015, to actively promote interest of students in
Mathematics and its application by promoting Mathematics among school
students. To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sh. Srinivasa Ramanujan who
as a genius mathematician made extraordinary contributions to mathematical
analysis, number theory, infinite series and fractions. The Little Florians
participated whole heartedly in all the activities conducted by the school. The following activities
marked the celebration: v Mathematics Relay Race was
conducted on 16.12.2015 for Primary & middle standard students. The
activity required both accuracy and speed. The students had a lot of fun
performing this activity. Chhavi, Riya and Kunal came up as the winners of
the race. v The
Little Florians from VI to VIII participated in ‘Solving Mathematical Puzzles’ activity on 17.12.15. The mind
boggling puzzles instigated the students’ minds. v The
students enjoyed an Interactive
Activity based session on 18.12.2015 in which they came to know the
practical applications of Mathematics
in real life. v 19th
Dec, 2015 saw a mass participation of the students in quiz contests at primary, middle and secondary level which were intended
to enhance their analytical approach, logical and reasoning power. v The
students participated in Mathematical games on 21.12.15 and exhibited Innovative Projects on Mathematics
the following day. v School
Principal, Mrs. Neeta Dua and Vice-Principal, Mrs. Omvati Bhandari addressed
the students motivating them to develop logical and analytical thinking so as
to make the study of Mathematics more interesting and to reduce the fear of
learning the subject. v School

for their active participation in GANIT WEEK and extended her thanks to CBSE
for conducting such events. |
61st TUG OF WAR NATIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIP Little
Florians Emerge Victorious in 61st T.O.W. National Championship LFPS participated in 61st Tug-of-war
National Championship (2015) which was organized from 13th to 17th
Dec. 2015 at Govind Vishnu College , Malkapur , Buldhana , Maharashtra. 15
states from all over India participated in the competition. The Little Florians
Kapil Kumar and Dikshant Choudhary represented Delhi Team in 480 kg, U-17
Boys category and made the school go gaga by winning Silver Medal in the
contest. The Little Florians displayed Herculean strength, balance of mind
and superb game technique under the guidance of coach Sh. J.K. Tomar and were
awarded with a sumptuous scholarship. The school
Director Mrs. C.M. Patel applauded the team and the coach with prized words.
School Principal Mrs. Neeta Dua also congratulated the team and exhorted the
students to come forward with team spirit. The vice-Principal Mrs. Omvati
Bhandari also showed her hearty feelings on the success of the team. |
Little Florians brought Laurels at
International Life Skills Summit
The students of Little Flowers
Public Sr. Sec. School, Shivaji Park, Shahdara, participated in International
Life Skills, Values, Gender, School Health & Well being Summit – 2015
conducted by C.B.S.E. More than 400 students and nearly 80 schools from
across the country and abroad participated in this highly interactive meet.
Four Students from LFPS named Harish Saifi (IX-A), Vanshika Vashitha (X-G),
Himanshu Chawla (X-G), Aditi Jain (X-E) with their co-ordinator
Mrs. Rakhi Jha participated in a series of events like Jingle, Elocution,
Painting Competition and Whiz-Quiz with a great enthusiasm. The students
presented a Jingle on the theme - Women Empowerment. The students got Ist
position in Jingle & Harish Saifi got IInd position in poster making
competition & received certificates trophies & gold medals. The Guests of Honour for
the event were Vineet Joshi, IAS, Resident Commissioner Manipur, Shovana
Narayan, Kathak Maestro and Dr. Jitender Nagpal, Programme Director,
Expressions India. School Manager, Smt.
C. M. Patel said that such events and interactive workshops help the
students to foster healthy competition, understanding and appreciation of
diverse opinions and cultural bonding. School Principal, Mrs.
Neeta Dua, affirmed that the commendable performance of the students is a
testimony to the fact that the Little Florians follow the tradition of values
set up by the Founder and Director of the School Late Sh. D. R. Patel. She
also added that such summits develop a sense of self-confidence, sensitivity
and awareness towards various concerns and issues such as gender,
environment, health and well being. Vice Principal, Mrs. Omvati Bhandari
appreciated the achievements of the students. |
Victory in Tug-of-War Little Florians Emerge Victorious in
Tug-of-War National Championship Little Flowers
Public Sr. Sec. School participated in 27th Jr. Tug-of-War
National Championship 2015 which was organized from 23rd to 28th
November, 2015 at Gola Ghat, Assam. Teams from 17 States participated in
the contest. The Little Florians – Nikhil Saunak , Vagish Malhotra, Vishal
Tyagi & Tushar Sharma represented Delhi Team in 560 Kg. Wt. category and
won Silver Medal for their meritorious performance. Coach Sh. J. K. Tomar
actively participated and brilliantly guided the team. Under his able
guidance the Little Florians displayed their herculean strength, balance of
mind and superb game technique and were awarded with a sumptuous scholarship. School
Director & Manager Mrs. C. M. Patel applauded the team and the coach with

Glorious Achievement of LFPS The
prestigious 31st Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teacher
& Media Award – 2015 has been conferred on Dr. Shama Batra, Medical
Superintendent, Patel Hospital, Shakarpur, Delhi and Smt. Vimmi Jain, Headmistress,
Little Flowers Public School, Vijay Park, Yamuna Vihar for their appreciable
contribution in the field of Medical Education and School Education
respectively. Dr. Shama Batra has been offering
her selfless services to the society as an efficient doctor. As the crusader
of Healthy India, Dr. Batra works incessantly and is popular in the society
not only as an able doctor but also as a good human being. Smt. Vimmi Jain
shoulders her responsibility with devotion and dedication and thus contributing
her bit for the well being of the society. School Director Smt. C.M. Patel,

STATE AWARDEE OF LFPS Mrs.
Omvati Bhandari, the diligent and dynamic Vice Principal , Little Flowers
Public Sr. Sec. School was felicitated with the prestigious State Teachers’
Award 2015 (sponsored by Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi) by
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi Sh. Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy C.M. of Delhi
Sh. Manish Sisodia at Tyagraj Sports Complex Delhi for her excellent
performance in the field of education. A memento,
certificate and cash price of `25,000/-
were awarded to Mrs. Omvati Bhandari as an acknowledgement to her devotion
and dedication for all round
development of the students. Mrs. Omvati Bhandari commands respect
from the management, faculty members and the students for her good administration,
and composed personality. School
Principal Mrs. Neeta Dua achieved the prestigious State Teacher’s Award in
2006 by Ex Chief Minister Smt. Shiela Dixit and Mrs. Asha Saxena, Music Tecaher
was awarded with prestigious state Teacher’s Award in 2013. School
Director Smt. C.M. Patel, President Dr. Deepak Batra and Principal Mrs. Neeta
Dua congratulated Mrs. Omvati Bhandari on her remarkable achievement and
expressed that people like Mrs. Omvati Bhandari lead to the progress of the

L.F.P.S. Excelled in Science Model It is a matter of great
pleasure that Science Model (TECH FARMING ) of Naman Jain of Class XII got 3rd
Position among 1000 Models and received
Shield by Smt. Usha Kumari, Regional Director of Education , in “Delhi State Level
Exhibition & Project Competitions – 2015 “under INSPIRE Award Scheme of
Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India held on 13 & 14
August 2015 at Thyagaraj Sports Complex, INA, New Delhi. The Model was
selected for National
Level Competition. School Director

Little Florians Emerge Victorious in 27th TUG-OF-WAR
Championship Little Flowers Public Sr. Sec. School, Shivaji Park,
Shahdara, Delhi-110032 participated in 27th Delhi State Level
Sub-Junior Tug-of-War Championship 2015-16 which was organized from 8th
May to 10th May, 2015 at Siddharth International School, Loni
Road, Delhi. Fiifty Seven teams of different schools have participated. The
Little Florians got second position in 380 kg Sub-Junior U-13 category got
silver medal and got third position in 440 kg girls & boys (mixed)
Sub-Junior U-17 begged bronze medal. Coach Mr. J. K. Tomar actively
participated and brilliantly guided the team. The Manager of the School Mrs.
C. M. Patel applauded the team and coach with prized words. Principal of the
School Mrs. Neeta Dua also congratulated the team and exhorted the students
to come forward with team spirit. The Vice-Principal Mrs. Omvati Bhandari
